Steve Lee Griffin (65) of Neoga, formerly of Bloomington

Steven Lee Griffin, 65, of Neoga, formerly of Bloomington, died at 10:47am Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

As per the wishes of Mr. Griffin, his body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held in Bloomington, IL at a later date. The Swengel-O’Dell Funeral Home of Neoga is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be sent to Jeannie Griffin, 495 East 6th. Street, Neoga, IL 62447, to help defray expenses.

Steven was born July 1, 1951, in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of Edward and Elaine (Edwards) Griffin. He married Debra Smith and he later married Jeannie Orsborn September 12, 1992, in Toledo, Illinois. Steven enjoyed farming and farm machines. He had a very fanatic interest in farm tractors.

Mr. Griffin leaves his loving wife, Jeannie Griffin of Neoga IL; one son, Mark Griffin and wife Laura of Bloomington, IL; two daughters, Meredith Brooks and fiancee, Chuck Walker, Mary Sieg and husband Mike, all of Bloomington, IL; one brother, Stanley Griffin and wife Becky of Bloomington, IL; two sisters, Sue Stoval and husband Charles of TN and Rose Gray and husband Dana of Bloomington, IL; three grandchildren.

Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Charles Raney; one sister, Sharon Gwen; one half-brother, Donald Griffin; one half-sister, Judy Bottnot.
