Mary L. Perry, 90, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital Effingham.
As per Mary’s wishes, cremation rites with be accorded. No services with be held at this time. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared by clicking here.
Mary was born on January 17, 1926, in Chelsea, Massachusetts, the daughter of Rev. Wilfred and Mary Jane (Butts) Mulley. Throughout her life, Mary had a love for cooking, and was especially known for her baking. After working 25 years, Mary retired from the St. Anthony Hospital business office. She also enjoyed watching the Gaither Homecoming whenever it was on television.
Mary is survived by her three children, Vernon C. (Glenda) Kingery of Riverview, FL, Judith E. (Gilbert) Dahnke of Summerfield, FL, and Kathleen A. (Lester, deceased) Walker of Ft. Worth, TX; 8 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Eileen Mabel MacDougall of San Jose, CA and Marjorie Ann Ross of Belmont, NH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Wilfred Mulley; and sister, Dorothy Allen.
