Paul V. Petty, 57, of Chicago, formerly of Effingham, died on the evening of Friday, September 16, 2016 in Chicago.
As per Paul’s wishes his body will be cremated and burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Paul V. Petty was born on Monday, August 3, 1959 in Portland, Indiana to Donald Edward and Sandra Lou (Clark) Petty. He had been a barber.
In his passing he leaves behind father, Donald E. Petty and his wife Mary of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; mother, Sandra L. Laue and her husband Allen of Altamont; brother, Robin E. Petty and his wife Tami of Effingham; sister, Deanna L. Deaton and her husband Scott of Chesterfield, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
