Jon Dagus Taylor, 62, of Carbondale, formerly of Altamont, died at 3:50 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, IN.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 9 at Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jon was born on Wednesday, July 7, 1954 in Effingham, Illinois to LeRoy and Eileen (Farr) Taylor.
He is survived by: sons, Jon Matthew Taylor of New Jersey and Stacy Andrew Taylor of Effingham; daughter, Shannon Carter-Taylor of Chicago; brother, James Taylor and his wife Melody of Lake Sara; sisters, Diana Siemer and her husband Q. Anthony of Effingham and Jeanne Collins and her husband Ed of Edwardsville; and 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, George Taylor.
