Thelma Moeller, age 90, of St. Peter, Illinois passed away at 10:05 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016 at her home.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 9 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in St. Peter, Illinois with a one-hour viewing prior to service. Reverend William Emrick will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery in St. Peter, Illinois. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the St. Peter Lutheran Church. Memorials may go to St. Peter Lutheran School Gym Floor Fund or donor’s choice.

Thelma was born on November 8, 1925 in St. Peter, Illinois, the daughter of Otto and Hulda (Schnarre) Scheer. She married Walter E. “Butch” Moeller on December 19, 1943. She enjoyed cooking, collecting Precious Moments and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Joan Schaal (husband Lloyd) of St. Peter, Illinois, Pat Sporleder (husband Gary) of Altamont, Illinois and Liz Heinzmann (husband Rodney) or St. Peter, Illinois; brother, Melvin Scheer of Effingham, Illinois; 8 grandchildren, David Schaal (wife Lisa) of St. Peter, Illinois, Darrell Schaal (wife Barb) of Farina, Illinois, Dennis Schaal (wife Amy) of St. Peter, Illinois, Tricia Woods (husband Matthew) of Greenville, Indiana, Nancy Carriker (husband Bud) of Washington, Missouri, Lisa Smith (husband Shane) of Edgewood, Illinois, Carmen Heinzmann of Hubbard, Iowa, Kelly Hall (husband Chuck) of St. Peter, Illinois; 10 great-grandchildren, Kendra, Deidra, Justin, Megan, Jordan Addyson, Riley and Mya Schaal, Joshua and Kyle Woods, Kiersten and Morgan Engel, Haley Carriker, Allison Conrad (fiancé Colby Bowen), Jakob Conrad, Jessie Smith and Gaige, Kaden and Brylee Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Hulda Scheer; husband, Walter E. “Butch” Moeller and brother, Lawrence Scheer.
