Rebecca Ann "Becky" Collins (61) of Newton

Rebecca Ann “Becky” Collins age 61 of Newton passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at her home.

Memorial services celebrating Becky’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday August 30 at the Latona Church of Christ. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday in the church. Casual dress is requested by the Collins family. Cremation rites will be accorded with private family interment at a later date.

Rebecca Ann Holt was born on January 24, 1955 in Olney, Illinois to R. Lee and Shirley N. (Sparks) Holt. On August 11, 1973, Becky married Terry Collins. He survives. For over twenty-five years, Becky owned and operated The County Touch in Newton. She enjoyed sewing and antiquing for her store. Becky spent her free time in her flower gardens, working jig-saw puzzles, attending craft shows and collecting. Two of her favorite collections were her Dept. 56 North Pole Village and glass bells. She was a member of the Latona Church of Christ. She loved time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.

Becky will be loved and remembered by her husband Terry Collins of Newton; father Lee Holt of Newton; son Chris Collins, wife Audra of Newton; Jill Schoonover, husband Adam of Newton; grandchildren Claire Collins, Haylee, Wynter, and Greyson Schoonover all of Newton; sisters Debbie Urfer, husband Dion of Newton and Jackie Mollet, husband Jim of Highland.

Her mother Shirley N. Holt; grandparents Charles & Bessie Sparks and Jesse B. & Hazel Holt; mother and father-in-law John & Barbara Collins preceded her in death.

Memorial gifts in memory of Becky may be made to the Donor’s choice.
