Kyle Higgs (26) of Decatur

Kyle W. Higgs, 26, of Decatur, formerly of Altamont died at 10:43 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2016 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 26 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont. A private family service with Rev. Marek Kasperczuk officiating will be held on Saturday. Burial will follow at Salem Methodist Church Cemetery, rural Altamont. Memorials may to the American Cancer Society for pancreatic cancer research www.cancer.org/cancer/pancreaticcancer/ to the donor’s choice.

Kyle William Higgs was born on Tuesday, July 31, 1990 in Effingham, IL to Jeff and Carla (Springman) Higgs. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a dedicated route driver for Kenan Advantage Group.

Kyle is survived by; his parents of Altamont; brother, Curtis Higgs of Altamont; maternal grandparents, William and Betty Springman of Brownstown; paternal grandparents, Leavitt and Edith Higgs of Altamont; paternal grandmother, Janet Johnson of Salsberry, IN; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
