Sean Harrison Shamhart, 28, of Newton died at 11:47pm Thursday, August 11, at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00pm Monday, August 15, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery near Latona, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 6:00pm Monday, August 15, at the funeral home. In loving memory of Sean, memorials may be made to the Macie Nicole Education Fund.

Sean was born on April 9, 1988, in Olney, Illinois, the son of Bill Stacey and Jacquelyn Jo (Judy) Shamhart. He was a graduate of Newton Community High School, graduating with the Class of 2006. Sean was employed at Puerto Vallarta Restaurant in Newton, Illinois. Sean was a member of the Falmouth United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding bikes and old cars. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughter.
Sean is survived by parents Bill and Jacquelyn Shamhart of Newton. Daughter Macie Nicole of Newton. Brother Nicholas Shamhart of Newton. Grandparents Jack and Bonnie Judy of Newton and Lester and Dolores Shamhart of Wheeler, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sean was preceded in death by his cousins Steven Joe Judy, Jr on November 7, 2015, and Mika Leann Judy on November 21, 2015.
