Juanita F. Ramsey, 78, of Mattoon, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Odds Fellow Rebekah Home in Mattoon.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham, with the Rev. David McConnell officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to the family.

Juanita was born on September 1, 1937, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of George and Amy L. (Niccum) Ashley. She married William J. Ramsey on April 7, 1957 in Effingham, IL, and he preceded her in death on November 22, 1971. Juanita enjoyed gardening, cooking and mushroom hunting. She was proud of all her grandchildren.
Juanita is survived by her sisters, twin Bonita Thomas of Effingham and Margie Jamison of Bonnie Lake, WA; children, Mitzy Sain and William E. (Barbara) Ramsey both of Mattoon, Elizabeth Ryherd of Tower Hill, Haven (Katrina) Keller, Donna (Richard) Russell, Ronda (Anthony) Enloe and Abraham (Deana) Keller all of Mattoon; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and partner and father of the four youngest children, Ralph “Abe” Keller of Mattoon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; 2 brothers, 2 sisters; daughter, Sandra S. Palmer; grandson, Isaiah S. Perez; and great-grandson; Jimmy Davis.
