Wilma C. Holkenbrink, 94 of Teutopolis, passed away at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lillyville, with burial in the church cemetery. A combined C.C.W. and C.D. of A. rosary will be held at 4:00 p.m., followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice.

Wilma was born May 12, 1922 in rural Teutopolis, the daughter of Edward and Louise (Borgic) Kemme. She graduated with the Teutopolis High School class of 1940. Wilma married Leo J. Holkenbrink on May 18, 1948 and assisted him on their dairy farm until his passing in 1982. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lillyville, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court 711, Sacred Heart Council of Catholic Women and was a former member of the Cumberland County Home Extension.
Wilma is survived by her three sons, Dennis (Marlene) of Louisville, Steve (Connie) of Teutopolis and Floyd (Debra) of Teutopolis; six daughters, Wanda (Don) Tegeler of Teutopolis, Eileen Ochs of West Liberty, Lois (Jim) Meinhart of Teutopolis, Virginia (David) Koeberlein of Dieterich, Rose (Lyle) Ohnesorge of Dietrich and Carol (Greg) Walk of Neoga; 43 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don (Marita) Kemme of Shumway and Maurice (Rita) Kemme of Effingham; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Kemme of Beecher City and Verena Kemme of Effingham; many nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; infant daughter, Mary Ann; son-in-law, Allen Ochs; three brothers, Robert (Esther) Kemme, Tom Kemme and Clarence Kemme; three sisters, Luella (Dick) Roepke, Rosella (Donald) Swingler and Dorothy Kemme.
