Wanda Bernetta Stipp, age 85, of Kankakee, IL, formerly of Clay County, passed away at 2:55 pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at her home in Kankakee.

Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home in Louisville, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 9. A celebration of life will be held following the visitation at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Oskaloosa Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Kankakee Valley and will be received at the funeral home.

She was born January 8, 1931, the daughter of the late Melvin Arthur Bailey and the late Jessie Mae (White) Bailey. On March 12, 1950 she was united in marriage to William D. Stipp in Louisville. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1981. Wanda enjoyed her time mostly as a homemaker but also as a clerk at the Butternut Bread Store. She loved to play cards and bingo, as well as keeping her oak floors shiny and having all of her "ducks in a row". She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She leaves to mourn her passing, son Kenny (Mary) Stipp of Martinton, IL; daughters, Linda (Dale) Graefnitz of Kankakee, Geri (Hank) Hadders of Bradley; brother Arthur "Bud" (Mary) Bailey of Deshler, OH; grandchildren, Luke Hadders, Jayme Rude, Chris Graefnitz, Amanda Voss, Clay Hadders, Jeremy Stipp; and nine great grandchildren with one on the way.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, as well as sisters Imalee Shepp, Wilma DeVore and infant Norma Bailey.
