Rosetta Louise Deck, 78, of Newton died at 5:58am Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday, June 20 at Meyer Funeral Home in Newton with Pastor Steven Bruns officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Newton. Visitation will be from 10-11am Monday. Memorials to Newton Care Center Activity Fund, 300 Scott Avenue, Newton IL 62448.

Rosetta Louise Deck was born on August 29, 1937, in Newton, Illinois, the daughter of Faye and Mona (Park) Deck. She graduated from Newton Community High School with the Class of 1955. She worked at Ettelbrick Shoe Factory, E.R. Moore Cap and Gown Factory and in later years worked for Catholic Services. Louise was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Newton, Illinois, where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed sewing, rummaging and shopping. For the last 9 years, Louise had been a resident of the Newton Care Center, where she was loved and well cared for.
Louise is survived by: Brother – Wallace (Mary) Deck of Chrisman, Illinois...Sister-in-law – Joan Deck of Newton, Illinois...several nieces and nephews...Special Lifelong friend – Barb Mulvey of Newton, Illinois.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, brother Tilden Deck and several infant sisters.
