Jeffery D. "Jeff" Beck (40) of Altamont

Jeffery D. “Jeff” Beck, 40, of Altamont, IL, passed away on Thursday morning, May 26, 2016, from injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham, IL. Burial will be in Buchanan Cemetery, Herrick, IL. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Jeff to the family.

Jeffery was born on September 3, 1975, in Vandalia, IL, the son of Carl and Robin (Martin) Beck. He married Shelia Apke in November 2000, and she survives. Jeff was in construction for 22 years and was currently employed through the Local 42 at Envirotech for 12 years. He enjoyed his weekends with family and friends, going to concerts with his daughter, Taylor, hunting the outdoors, and motorcycling.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Shelia Beck of Altamont; daughter, Taylor Beck; step-daughter, Chelsey (husband, Jake) Beavers; step-sons, Kyle Repking and Trey Myers; grandsons, Brayden and Lucas; mother, Robin (fiancé Mike); and brothers, Donnie Beck and Justin Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl; and brothers, Jason Beck and Joshua Edwards.
