Marilyn Joyce Walk, 80, of rural Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 12:19 P. M. , Wednesday, May 25, 2016, in the Carle Foundation Hospital of Urbana, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 1 in the First Christian Church of Neoga, with Pastor Mel Workman officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Swengel- O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, and for one hour before the services on Wednesday at the Church. Burial will be in the Neoga Memorial Cemetery, Neoga, Illinois. The Swengel- O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials to First Christian Church of Neoga.

She was born September 28, 1935, in Coles County, Illinois, the daughter of Logan and Hazel (Alfred) Scott. She married Roy Walk April 10, 1955 in Mattoon, Illinois. Marilyn was a housewife and a homemaker, a member of the First Christian Church of Neoga, IL. She loved playing Bridge with her Bridge Club and visiting with her friends and neighbors.

Marilyn leaves her husband of 61 years, Roy E. Walk of rural Neoga, IL; one daughter, Penny D. Butts and husband Robert of Decatur, IL; two  sisters, Dorothy Bickle of Jacksonville, TX and Norma Carter of Mattoon, IL; six grandchildren, Blake R. Durbin and wife Abby of Shelbyville, IL, Amanda S. Durbin of Champaign, IL, Matthew E. Durbin of Williston, ND,  Andrew P. Butts, Gavin S. Butts and Connor A. Butts all of Decatur, IL.

Mrs. Walk was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Ginger Durbin. and one sister, Emily Becker.
