George "Al" Wines, 79, of Emmett, Idaho, formerly of Effingham County, died on Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Emmett.
He will be laid to rest near his home in Emmett on Monday, May 9 with complete military rites.
He was born on April 26, 1937 in Effingham County, and still has family and friends in this area. While serving in the US Air Force and stationed at the Mountain Home Air Force Base, he fell in love with the area and decided to make it his permanent home.
Survivors in the Effingham area include his brothers, Lowell Wines and wife Gloria, Glen Wines and Rose Stewart, Lovell Wines and wife Alice, and sister, Mary Lou Lilley and husband Garl.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Bonnie (Pemberton) Wines, and his sister, Marie Wines Parkhurst.
