Rosemary was born on September 7, 1954, in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Fern (Switzer) Beitz. Rosemary was the sweetest, most caring person. She always greeted everyone she met with a smile. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She absolutely loved them. It did not matter if it was an afternoon game or late at night, she would be there to root them on! She absolutely adored her two grandchildren, Alexis and Ryan. They were the joy of her life. To them, Rosemary will always be known as “Memaw” or “Nemaw” as Ryan would say. Rosemary, along with her husband Tim, taught dance lessons in the Effingham area for many years. She loved the old Western shows as well. Rosemary was an Effingham County 4-H leader for several years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Effingham.

Rosemary is survived by her husband, Tim O’Donnell on Dexter Corner; daughter, Tiffany (Matthew) Feldhake and grandchildren, Alexis and Ryan, all of Dardenne Prairie, MO; brothers, Donald (Judy) Beitz of Ames, IA and Norman (Shirley) Beitz of Chenoa; sister, Darlene (Norm) Eborg of Bloomington; mother-in-law, Doris O’Donnell of Effingham; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great- nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Fern Beitz of Stewardson; and father-in-law, Max O’Donnell of Effingham.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the Vandalia Rehabilitation staff and to Lincolnland Hospice of Sarah Bush Lincoln staff.
