Deanne E. (nee Poe) Huey, 53, formerly of Effingham, IL, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Private funeral services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leonard Laetsch officiating. Public visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham, IL. Memorials may be made in loving memory of Deanne to the Effingham County Humane Society, P.O. Box 321, Effingham, IL 62401.

Deanne was born on February 28, 1963, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Cecil J. and Betty J. (Meyers) Poe. Deanne was a loving mother and a forgiving friend with the most infectious of laughs. Her heart was full of love for her family. She was the happiest when spending time with them outdoors. Even when battling countless health issues her immense inner strength could muster a smile for her supporters.

Deanne is survived by her sons, Dakota Huey and Dylan Huey, both of St. Louis, MO; parents, Cecil J. and Betty J. Poe of Effingham; and siblings, Debbie (Mike) Myers of Conway, AR, Don (Judy) Poe of Lexington, KY, David (Carolyn) Poe of Effingham, Doug (Peggy) Poe of Effingham, and Daylene (Randy) Johnson of Effingham.
