Deloris M. Flach, 93 of Montrose, passed away at 2:58 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 30 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Montrose with burial in the St. Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the church. Memorials to American Cancer Society, Lakeland Rehabilitation or to the donor’s choice. Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family.

Deloris was born July 16, 1922 in Cumberland County, the daughter of Issac Newton and Cathern (Walker) Kingery. She married Reginald F. Flach in Montrose on June 19, 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1997. Deloris worked at Ettlebrick Shoe Company in Greenup and did in-home care for 25 years; she loved her job of taking care of the elderly. Deloris was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, welcoming family and friends with love and great food. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Montrose, St. Rose Council of Catholic Women, a life member of Effingham VFW Auxiliary Post 1769 , Toledo Senior Center and Royal Neighbors.

Deloris is survived by her son, Larry (Lucy) Flach of Montrose; three daughters, Karlene (Peter) Frese of Effingham, Karen (Raymond) Drees of Teutopolis and Aleta (Don) Bushue of Effingham; sister whom Deloris and Reginald raised, Ruth (Dean) Grissom of Montrose; brother-in-law, Richard (Ann) Flach; thirteen grandchildren, Pete Frese Jr., Michelle Minch, Anthony “Tony” Frese, Brian Drees, Beth Craig, Daren Drees, Lisa Jewell, Laquita Campbell, Lana Hall, Reggie Flach, Steve Bushue, Jody Phillips and Travis Bushue; thirty three great-grandchildren; two nieces, Kathy Donsbach and Cindy Grissom; great-niece, Kimberly Youssef and great-nephew, Cory Meier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Elmer (Gladys) Yocum, Claude Yocum, Leona “Babe” Yocum and Newton “Buss” (Reba) Kingery; brothers-in-law, Lambert (Mary) Flach and Francis (Janet) Flach.

Deloris died on her husband’s 99th birthday. What a day they had in heaven celebrating and dancing the day away!
