Edwin E. Fry, 75, of Cowden died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Shelby Memorial Hospital in Shelbyville.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 28 at 11am at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden with burial in Mound Cemetery in Cowden. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Sunday.

He was born May 15, 1940 in Cowden the son of Emmett E. and Kathryn (Davis) Fry. On August 14, 1960 he married his high school sweetheart Alta May Doty. Edwin worked for the Teamster Local 279 and farmed in the Cowden area before his retirement. He was a member of the Cowden Masonic Lodge, past board member of the Teamsters 279 Local, past president of the Cowden-Herrick School Board, past board member of the Bowling Green Township and past board member of Cowden Town Council. Family was an important part of Edwin’s life; he enjoyed woodworking making different items for his grandchildren and going fishing.

Surviving are his wife Alta May of Cowden; children Pamela Logue of Mechanicsville, IA, Brad (Deannie) Fry of Brownstown and Dannette Logue of Shelbyville; eleven grandchildren Nathon (Brooke) Logue, Justin (Amy) Fry, Heath Logue, Stephanie (Seth) Swanson, Jacob (Brandy) Logue, Todd Cloe, Trista (Zarick) Kuehl, Heather Logue, Sean Newcomb, Tanner and Tori Fry; 13 great grandchildren and sister Lois (Glen) Niehart of Pana.

Preceding him in death were his parents.
