Randy B. Seaton, 57, passed away at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016 at his home in Effingham, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 14 at the Herrick Baptist Church with burial in Buchanan Cemetery, Herrick. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham and for one hour prior to the funeral service Monday morning at the church. Randy had requested that memorials be made to the Buchanan Cemetery Fund or the Crossroads Cancer Center.

Randy was born November 9, 1958 in Pana, the son of Paul L. and Betty Rose (Beck) Seaton. He married Julie Kay Worman on July 4, 1997 at the Herrick Baptist Church. Randy was a 1976 graduate of Cowden - Herrick High School and a 2009 graduate of St. Louis Community College with a degree in funeral service. He was a funeral director’s assistant for the Bauer Funeral Homes and the Pagel Funeral Homes for the past six years. Randy was the cemetery manager of Arborcrest Memorial Park in Effingham and a former trustee member of the Pana Eagles. He was also a member of Herrick Baptist Church and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, mushroom hunting and spending time with his family, friends, and special pal “Milo Man”.

Randy is survived by the love of his life, Julie of Effingham; three daughters, Shawna (Gene) Buerk of Sigel, Kristen (Jason) King of Assumption and Meagan (Jake) Ruot of Pana; grandchildren, Dylan Rentfro, Kylee Buerk, Trenton Buerk, Abigail Buerk, Parker Ruot, Nathaniel Seaton, Jillian Seaton and Alec Seaton; six brothers, Fred (Jan) of Ramsey, Steve (Sharon), Rodney (Dena), Roger (Becky), Brian, all of Herrick and Todd of Pana; four sisters, Emma Sue Heiser of Celina, OH, Myra (Lyle) Mathias of Ohlman, Candi Morgason of Dollville and Dana (Jeff) Kunkel of Pana; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Samantha; brother, Gary; sister, Robin Hooper; grandson, Aidyn Ruot and great-granddaughter, Savannah Rentfro.
