Vicki Sue Rubsam, 64, of Newton died at 3am Friday, March 11, 2016 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM – Tuesday, March 15 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois. Burial will be Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM – Monday at the church and 1 hour before the mass. Memorials may be made to the Jasper County Cancer Fund P.O. Box 333 Newton, Illinois 62448. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.

Vicki was born on May 14, 1951, in Salem, Illinois, the daughter of Glenn and Mildred (Boyce) Easley. She married Glen Rubsam on August 6, 1992, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois, and he survives. Vicki was a rehabilitation physical therapist at Olney Care Center in Olney for 17 years and was currently an employee of the Jasper Community School System, and in recent years as a bus driver. Vicki was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois, and the Olney Eagles. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and spending time with her family.

Vicki is survived by:  Husband of 23 years – Glen Rubsam of Newton, Illinois...Children – Raquel Allison-Altom of Salem, Illinois; Travis Allison of Evansville, Indiana; and Christopher Rubsam of Newton, Illinois...Grandchildren – Billy Bierman of Centralia, Illinois; Specialist Logan Bierman of Fort Polk, Louisiana; and Jonathan Altom of Salem, Illinois...Great Grandson – Collin Bierman of Centralia, Illinois...Sisters - Kathy (Dan) Crosley of Noblesville, Indiana; Cheri (Allen) McDowell of Olney, Illinois...Brother - Danny Easley of Salem, Illinois...Mother-in-law – Catherine Rubsam of Newton, Illinois...Brothers and Sisters-in-law – Triva Rubsam of Indianapolis, Indiana; John (Karen) Rubsam of Carlyle, Illinois; Barb (Steve) Schulte of Newton, Illinois; Dave (Debbie) Rubsam of Newton, Illinois; and Tricia (Tony) Schlanser of Beecher City, Illinois; and Marilyn Hardke of Stow, Ohio.
