Mack Allen Myers, Sr., 69, of Kinmundy died Friday, February 26, 2016 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham in the loving care of his wife.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, March 5 at Kinmundy Christian Church with Josh Conley and Phil Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Saturday. Memorials to the Kinmundy Christian Church Building Fund or to the donor's choice. Rankin Funeral Home in Salem is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private.

He was born January 17, 1947 in Charleston, the son of Paul "Theron" and Mabel (Rogers) Myers who preceded him in death. Mack was a retired Registered Respiratory Therapist. He was a missionary for ACM in the Democratic Republic of Congo, at that time, Zaire, and a member of the Kinmundy Christian Church. Mack loved to travel, and to go fishing and boating with his wife. He married Joyce Marie Gain, July 3, 1969 in Newton and she survives.

Also surviving is his son M. Allen Myers, II and wife Tina of Centralia, along with their children Miranda Abigail Myers and Summer Fawn Melton of Centralia, Breanna Isabelle Myers and Trinity Nichole Spalding of Salem. Also, his best friend,  companion and service dog, Callie at home.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Marie M. Myers.
