Mary M. "Sister" Wisner, 94, of Greenup, Illinois, passed away at 4:48 PM – Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County, Illinois.

Funeral services celebrating Mary’s life will be held at 11:00 AM – Friday, February 19 at the Meyer Funeral Home (formerly Bishop Funeral Home) 115 East Lincoln Drive Greenup, Illinois 62448, with Jim Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in the Jewett Cemetery in Jewett, Illinois. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM – Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Woodbury United Methodist Church.

Mary was born on August 19, 1921 in Woodbury, Illinois the daughter of Guy and Clara (Ashby) Plummer. She married Tom Wisner on March 27, 1938 and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2007. Mary was a school cook for many years for the Cumberland School District #77. She was a faithful member of the Woodbury United Methodist Church; member of the Cumberland County Home Extension and a member of the campers’s club. Mary served as a 4-H leader for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, and spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by:  Children - Donald (Barbara) Wisner of Mattoon, Illinois and Loretta (Russell) Wallace of Montrose, Illinois...Son-in-law – Ron Hoyt of Springfield, Illinois...Brother - Roy Plummer of Montrose, Illinois...7 Grandchildren...15 Great Grandchildren...4 Step Great Grandchildren...11 Great Great Grandchildren...4 Step Great Great Grandchildren...and 5 Step Great Great Great Grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband; son Ivan Lee Wisner; daughter Shirley Hoyt; brothers Kenneth and Charles Plummer; sisters Loraine Keller, Lucille Whitaker, Dorothy McClellan and Beulah Storm.
