Joyce Elaine Osteen James, 75, of Liberty, South Carolina died on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am Saturday, January 30 at Gieseking Funeral Home in Altamont. Visitation will be from 10-11am Saturday. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Altamont.

She was born in Altamont on Sunday, January 21, 1940 to Otha and Jennie (Alwerdt) Osteeen. She retired from Sunex Tools in Travelers Rest. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, sewing, cooking for family occasions, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She especially loved Christmas and collecting special ornaments.
Surviving are her husband, Phillp R. James of Liberty...daughter, Cindy Turner and husband Bryan of Easley, South Carolina...two sons, Mark James and wife Vikki of Greenville, South Carolina and Tim James and wife Heather of Greer, South Carolina...brother, Buddy Osteen and wife Judi of Altamont...four grandchildren, Katie, David and Matthew James and Allie Turner...and several cherished nieces and nephews.
