Letha Rogers (95) of Altamont

Letha L. Rogers, 95, of Altamont, died at 12:32 p.m., Friday, January 1, 2016 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Pee Wee Denton officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery, rural St. Elmo. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Letha was born on Sunday, February 29, 1920 in Loudon Township, Fayette County, Illinois to Charles and Maggie (Hissong) Dial. She married Edward Merle Rogers on November 7, 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1975. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Raymond Rogers of Altamont; stepson, Jimmie (Joyce) Rogers of St. Elmo; daughters, Janet Rogers, Beulah Rogers, Margaret Rogers and Dorothy Key, all of Altamont; step daughter, Joan Jenkins of Sherwood, Arkansas; sisters, Violet Braasch of Shobonier and Marybelle Ledbetter of Brownstown; sister-in-law, Irene Dial; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her daughter Linda, 3 brothers, Raymond, Zinnie, and Arthur Dial and one great granddaughter.
