Emery F. Adam, 3 years of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 5:28 P.M., Friday, January 1, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon.
Emery was born November 24, 2012 in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of Jedidiah L. and Jennifer R. (Yocum) Adam. He attended the Kinmundy Christian Church and the Mullen Baptist Church near Montrose, IL. Emery was a free spirited boy who enjoyed the outdoors and going for rides in Jed's Bronco. He leaves his parents, Jed and Jenni Adam of Neoga, IL; one brother, Colten Adam at home; one sister, Indee Adam at home; grandparents, Jerry and Cheryl Adam of rural Toledo, IL, Chris and Janet Yocum of rural Jewett, IL; great grandparents, Pauline Yocum, of rural Jewett, IL and Marcella Whalen of Newton, IL; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Emery was preceded in death by his Uncle, Thomas E. Yocum and his cousin, Alton H. Jones.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 5, 2016, in the First Church of God at 2600 South Banker, Effingham, IL, with Pastor Josh Conley of Kinmundy, IL officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 P.M., to 8:00 P.M., Monday, January 4, 2016, at the Church. Burial will be in the Mullen Cemetery near Montrose, IL. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, IL is in charge of arrangements.
