Doris Heidorn (86) of Altamont

Doris Marie Emily Heidorn, 86, of Altamont died at 3:15 a.m., Saturday, January 2, at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 7, at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont. Burial will follow at Arborcrest Memorial Park, rural Effingham. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6. Memorials may be made to Lutheran Care Center, Altamont or the donor's choice.
Mrs. Heidorn was born on Wednesday, October 30, 1929 in Maywood, IL, to Albert and Mary (Thomas) Drews. She married Ray Fielitz in 1948. She later married Emil Heidorn in 1981 and he preceded her in death in 2000. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont where she served on the Altar Committee. She was a proud volunteer at Lutheran Care Center for over 27 years.
Survivors include: son, Terry (Rebekah) Fielitz of Effingham; daughter, Linda (Larry) White of Shumway; brother, Albert Drews of Morrison and Thomas (Amy) Drews of North Carolina; sister, Verona Kuehl of Villa Park; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Pearl Gregory and Muriel Brunick.
