Donnie G. Keen, 70, of Kinmundy, Illinois died at 8:17 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in Salem Township Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at Kinmundy Christian Church with Bro. Josh Conley officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 5 at Kinmundy Christian Church from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy. Memorials may be made to the Kinmundy-Alma EMT's or Neighborhood Food Pantry of Kinmundy. Online condolences may be left at www.jwnealfuneralhome.net.
Keen was born February 9, 1942 in Kinmundy, the son of Eugene "George" W. and Iva Marie "Kate" (Mulvaney) Keen. He married Vervadene Slane November 26, 1961 at Kinmundy Christian Church. He was owner and operator of Keen's Backhoe Service. He was a member of Kinmundy Christian Church and belonged to the International Operating Engineers Local 520.
Survivors include his wife; son, Alan Keen of Kinmundy; brother, Dennis (wife Debbie) Keen of Kinmundy; stepsister, Connie (husband Chad) Mulvaney of Kinmundy; sister-in-law, Dorothy M. Keen of Kinmundy; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rudy and Judy Slane of Kinmundy; grandsons, Trevor Alan Keen and Trenton Donnie Keen of Kinmundy; special nieces and nephews, Airman 1st Class Shae Jamison, Susan Jamison, Clay Keen, Misty Ford, Michelle Moore, Taylor Keen and Denise Slane.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Dorothy B. Keen and brother, Beryl Clayton Keen.
