Are you concerned about your child's speech or language? Is your child difficult to understand? Does your child have difficulty answering questions or following directions? Does he or she have difficulty playing and socializing with others? Does your child receive speech-language services in the school and you are searching for a supplemental service?

HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital will be offering free speech-language screenings on Tuesday, November 3 and Saturday, November 7. The screenings will last 15-20 minutes and are being offered for children from birth to adolescent. The hospital's Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness department staff can provide services to children with a variety of developmental delays including speech sounds, language, stuttering, and social communication.

A physician's order is not required for the screening and patients do not have to register with the hospital. However, screenings are being conducted by appointment only. Appointment times are available from 3:30-7 p. m. on Tuesday, November 3 and from 8:30 a. m.-Noon on Saturday, November 7. Screenings will take place in the Speech Therapy rooms in the Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness department located on the north end of the hospital.
