"Cartoons on Parade" will be the theme for the 2014 Halloween Parade to be held Sunday, October 26. The parade will kick off at 2:00 p.m. The parade is sponsored by the Effingham Sunrise Rotary.

Line up for the parade will be at 12:00 p. m. along Maple Street between Temple and Evergreen Avenues. Only parade entries will be allowed on Maple Street. Participants MUST enter off of Evergreen by the Kluthe Memorial Pool. The parade will travel south on Maple Street, then east on Jefferson Avenue, where the units will disband east of South Route 45 by City Hall.

Groups, organizations, business and individuals interested in participating in the parade are asked to complete the entry form and return it to: Halloween Parade, c/o Nathan Earnest, 406 E Jefferson, Effingham, IL 62401. Forms are available at West & Company, 217/347-5181 and the Effingham County Chamber office, 903 N Keller Drive, 217/342-4147. Parade entry deadline is Friday, October 17, 2014.
