Location is in Watson Civic Center - Look for the big water tower

Winter Field Day is an annual event that challenges amateur radio operators to test their skills and equipment in less-than-ideal conditions.  It’s a fantastic opportunity to:

Practice emergency communication techniques.

Set up and operate field radio stations.

Connect with other ham radio enthusiasts locally and globally.

Enjoy the great outdoors while showcasing the versatility of amateur radio.

Who Can Join?

Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re a seasoned operator, a new licensee, or just curious about ham radio, there’s something for everyone. Bring your family and friends to learn about amateur radio and see it in action.

What to Bring:

Your radio equipment and antennas (if participating as an operator).

Appropriate clothing for cold weather.

Snacks, drinks, and a sense of adventure!

Event Highlights:

Hands-on demonstrations of various radio setups.

Networking with fellow ham radio enthusiasts.

An introduction to emergency communication practices.
