Teutopolis firefighters will once again be going door-to-door in specific neighborhoods offering to inspect or install a free Smoke Alarm in single family residences. This is an Annual Event for the department with the Smoke Detectors provided by the Red Cross. Firefighters will be going door-to-door in the area West of Pearl Street (Vine Street, Wall Street, Green Street, Elm Street, and Southern Row) from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7. If they miss you, phone the Station at 217-203-0746. You must be a resident of the Fire District, live in a single-family residence, and the detector must be installed by the Teutopolis firefighters.
