Come join St. Anthony for the Third Annual Taste of St. Anthony, to be held after 4:30pm Mass on Saturday, April 20 in the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Parish Center. Up to 25 chefs will be dishing out specialties, and wine, beer, and soft drinks will be on hand to refresh your palate. Games for the kids will be available; musical entertainment by Ted Grunloh, Good Wood and "Friends," (including Father Brian Alford and Father Sunder Ery); and cookbookds offering "Taste" recipes will be featured.
The "Taste" supports the journey of World Youth Day Pilgrims, a dozen St. Anthony high school students, who will travel to Rio de Janeiro Brazil, in July for an international celebration to see Pope Francis in one of his first public appearances.
"Taste" tickets are $10 for a dozen if bought before the event, or $12 for a dozen if purchased at the door. Tickets can be bought ahead of time from one of the World Youth Pilgrims, listed on the Taste of St. Anthony Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Taste-of-St-Anthony/182164688495007) or at the Parish Office. Midland States Bank once again is generously sponsoring this event.
