Effingham County Humane Society presents its Fifth Annual Charity Fundraising Event Mardi Gras Gala Saturday, March 23 at the Effingham KC Hall. Social hour and hors d'oeuvres will be from 5:30-7 p.m. Dinner, which includes southern fried chicken, cornbread, red beans and rice, tossed salad, jambalaya, big easy potato salad and New Orleans desserts will begin at 7 p.m. There will live music, 50/50 drawings and silent auction.
