**THE HANK BAND PERFORMS FUND RAISING CONCERT AT TRINITY LUTHERAN IN EVANSTON**

EVANSTON, IL - Trinity Lutheran Church in Evanston is pleased to announce, in conjunction with Chicago's own The Hank Band, an afternoon of Hank Williams songs performed by Peter Oyloe and the members of The Hank Band. The concert will be a fundraiser for the refurbishing of the kitchen at Trinity Lutheran. The admission is $15, and all proceeds will go directly toward the kitchen refurbishment fund.

"As Williams, Peter Oyloe sings like gangbusters", says TimeOut Chicago. Oyloe has won a Joseph Jefferson Award for his performance as the singer in the musical drama Hank Williams:Lost Highway, and has performed the role to award-winning acclaim in similar productions in Cincinnati (LCT Best Actor Award), Knoxville, Alabama, and upstate New York (Broadway World Best Actor Nomination). The Chicago Tribune said, "Oyloe's performance in this Lost Highway is pure classic Cadillac." And the Auburn Pub stated, "[Oyloe]'s so comfortable inside Williams's cowboy boots that his performance will undoubtedly become the way many imagine the late singer."

Audiences will believe themselves witness to a live Grand Ole Opry performance by Hank in his prime as the band expertly and lovingly recreates his most famous classics, in addition to many of his lesser-known numbers as well as gospel and blues covers that Hank performed throughout his career. In addition to Oyloe, The Hank Band includes some of Chicago's best musicians with Dan Andree on fiddle, Brian Wilkie on pedal steel, and Jesse Woelfel on bass.

Since forming in 2015, The Hank Band has performed at the prestgious Music Niagara Festival in Canada, as well as gigs around Chicago and downstate Illinois. Considered the "father of country music", Hank Williams, Sr created an extensive and profoundly influential body of work in his short life. Born in Alabama in 1923, Hank was soon playing concerts all over the South. He made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry in 1949, and a star was born seemingly overnight. Over the next three years he recorded hit after hit, including I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry", "Hey Good Lookin'", "Move It On Over", and "Your Cheatin' Heart". Troubled throughout his life by personal demons, Hank died on New Year's Day in 1953 on his way to a performance. His timeless songs, together with his untimely death, have made Hank Williams a preeminent legend in the canon of country music. Trinity Lutheran Church was founded in 1891 by a group of 22 Scandinavian immigrants, and now serves over 700 members living in the North Shore area. Trinity is recognized throughout the community for its inclusiveness and community service.
