Lt. Gov. Simon in Effingham Saturday Night

Illinois Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon will be in Effingham Saturday evening as the keynote speaker at a Democrat Party soup supper.

Simon, who is running against incumbent Republican Judy Baar Topinka for State Comptroller, will speak at the event to be held at the American Legion Post Home in downtown Effingham.  The soup supper will run from 5:30-7:30pm.

Tickets are $10 per person and will be available at the door.

Others expected to be at the event are County Treasurer Steve Dasenbrock, County Board members Karen Luchtefeld and Doug McCain, 107th District State Representative candidate Dr. Josh Berger, Congressional candidate Eric Thorsland and Associate Judge Ericka Sanders who is running for circuit judge.
