A May trial date has been scheduled for a St. Elmo woman charged with endangering the life or health of her child.
24-year-old Heaven Davis was arrested on the felony count January 31, following the death of her one-year-old daughter, Addison Scott of St. Elmo at their residence. Davis is accused of leaving Addison unattended with a person under age 14 and out of her sight.
At a Thursday hearing, probable cause was found to hold Davis over for trial. She is due to be tried beginning May 27, with a pre-trial hearing set for March 26.
Davis is free on $35,000 bond. The amount was reduced from $100,000 at an earlier court hearing.
