A Taylorville man has been given prison time for a sex offender violation.

37-year-old Aaron F. Hall admitted during an appearance in Fayette County Circuit Court Wednesday to violating his probation on a charge of unlawful failure to notify of a change of address by a sex offender.  The failure to notify charge is a Class 3 felony.

Judge Douglas Jarman sentenced Hall to two years in prison.
