Shumway Man Found Dead Tuesday Morning

Effingham County Coroner Duane Guffey released the following Tuesday evening in the investigation of the death of 23-year old Mark Heth of Shumway:

Mid-morning on February 18, 2014, Mark Heth, age 23, of the rural Shumway area, was found unresponsive by family members at their residence. Emergency medical services were notified and shortly thereafter Effingham County Duane Guffey was called to the scene. Mr. Heth was pronounced deceased at 8:26 am. An autopsy is scheduled for February 19, 2014. No foul play is suspected. The investigation continues by the Effingham County Coroner's Office and the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office.
