Vehicle Strikes Pedestrian

An Effingham woman was injured when she was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning.

62-year-old Becky Heuerman walked into the path of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Michelle Habing of Effingham.  The incident occurred just after 7am east of the intersection of Grove and Henrietta.

Heuerman was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

No citations were issued in the incident.
