One person was taken to the hospital after a collision in Effingham Thursday morning.

The crash happened at 8:02am at the intersection of Mulberry and Richland.  Effingham city police say a car driven by 23-year-old Felicia Gillooley of Effingham disobeyed a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Tracy McWhorter of Effingham.  The impact caused the McWhorter vehicle to strike a power pole.

McWhorter was injured and was taken to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.  Gillooley was treated on scene but was not taken for treatment.

Gillooley was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
