Crash w/Injury in Fayette County

One person was injured in a crash in Fayette County Sunday afternoon.

The crash occurred just before 3pm on I-70 west of the Brownstown/Bluff City interchange.  A vehicle driven by 58-year-old Frank Keener of Salem was eastbound when he came upon an earlier crash.  A firefighter on scene waved Keener into the driving lane and asked him to slow.  A following vehicle driven by 47-year-old Judy Hejnal of St. Elmo could not stop in time and struck the Keener vehicle from behind.

Keener was injured and was taken to Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia for treatment.  State police say arrest information for Hejnal is pending.
