Both supporters and opponents of the proposed pension reform deal are in Springfield today as the state legislature returns to tackle the crisis.

Public employee unions are continuing their lobbying efforts against the deal, but many business and legislative leaders are trying to round up support.

The four legislative leaders hammered out a bill last week to address the state's $100 billion pension debt.  Governor Quinn has indicated his support of the proposal.

The bill includes a reduction in cost-of-living adjustments, increases the retirement age, and creates an optional private retirement plan.
