Two Injured in Chain-Reaction Crash

Two people were injured in a chain-reaction crash Monday afternoon at the intersection of Banker and Fayette.
City police say a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Victor Teague of Flora rear-ended a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Dennis Shoemaker of Louisville, causing Shoemaker's vehicle to rear-end a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Amanda Baltzell of Newton, causing Baltzell's vehicle to rear-end a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Elizabeth O'Brien-Schmidt of Effingham.
Two passengers in Shoemaker's vehicle, 60-year-old Carolyn Shoemaker of Louisville and 60-year-old Susan Patton of Effingham were injured, but refused treatment.
No tickets were issued. The crash happened at 4:40pm.
