Neoga school board members approved a tentative tax levy for the coming fiscal year.  The levy will be finalized at the December meeting.  A hearing on the levy will be a part of the meeting.

The Neoga board voted to support the Shelby County 1% sales tax proposal that would provide funds for facilities improvements or new construction.  A vote on the proposal will be on the March ballot.

The Board voted to establish a finance committee made up of two board members, the superintendent and the auditor.  Don Strohl and Tom Schutte were named the board members on the committee.

Board members discussed the options for the search for a superintendent to replace the retiring Chuck Castle.  Castle will contact the Illinois Association of School Boards regarding options for meeting with the Board.

The Neoga board accepted the maternity leave request of Randi Sucic under the Family and Medical Leave Act, and approved an early graduation request.
