Ciara DeRyke in Court

The mother of Willow Long was in court in Shelby County Wednesday.

26-year-old Ciara DeRyke of Watson made her initial appearance on a traffic charge of failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.  The charges stem from a crash October 14 when a vehicle driven by DeRyke ran off a Shelby County roadway.

DeRyke is due back in court December 9 for her first appearance with her attorney.
