Meetings Scheduled in Area Today

There are several meetings in the area scheduled today and tonight. Those include the City of Effingham Board of Fire and Police Commissioners special meeting at 5 p.m. on the second floor in the east conference room in City Hall.

There will be a special meeting of the Effingham Park District at 6:30 p.m. regarding a hearing on the proposal to sell bonds up to $500,000 to continue asphalt upgrade, lights for the softball diamond, complete maintenance shed at Evergreen and to purchase trees for all three parks.

The regular meeting will follow the 6:30 p.m. meeting. Both meetings will be held at the Ron Diehl Center at 1906 South Fourth Street in Effingham.

The Effingham Community Unit District #40 will have a special board meeting at 4:30 p.m. to talk about student disciplinary cases and collective negotiating matters.

The Effingham County Airport Commission will hold its monthly meeting at 4 p.m. at the airport terminal.

And the Board of Trustees of the Village of Teutopolis will be meeting today at 7 p.m.
