St. Anthony Students Receive High ACT Marks

Test resuits are in for 2013 graduates and St. Anthony High School students received high marks. ACT scores for the 2013 graduating class of St. Anthony High School in Effingham placed at a very strong 23.8 average, compared to the Illinois average of 20.6 and the national average of 20.9.

The composite score reflects test results in the categories of English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science. St. Anthony High School's average is a result of 48 students out of the dass of 51 participating in the ACT exam. St. Anthony High School continues its more than 10 year trend of surpassing state and national average scores on the ACT exam.

St. Anthony High School also has announced that 100% of its 2013 graduating dass has advanced to post-secondary education. This dass has earned more than $746,000 in academic and athletic scholarships. Of the 51 graduates, 65% are continuing their education at a four year college, 31% moved onto a two-year college, and 4% have moved onto a trade school.
