Man Arrested for Alleged Home Repair Fraud in Coles County

A man has been arrested after being accused of home repair fraud in Coles County.

Teddy Girton was arrested this week by Vermilion County sheriff's deputies on a warrant from Coles County.  Girton, the owner of Teddy's Paving in Danville, was arrested after an investigation was conducted by Mattoon and Charleston city police and Coles County sheriff's deputies that yielded five area victims of a "driveway scam".

Coles County authorities are requesting any additional victims contact their local police department.

Girton is currently in the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections for a parole violation.
