It's time to begin gathering shoeboxes; Operation Christmas Child is almost here.
Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse, a Christian worldwide people-helping agency.
Operation Christmas Child involves filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, story books, crayons and other things that a child would enjoy receiving. The shoeboxes are collected and shipped to children in need across the globe.
Cornerstone Christian Church at 3600 South Banker will again serve as the collection center for the filled shoeboxes. Here are the hours when they'll be receiving shoeboxes: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, November 18, 19 and 20 between 9 and 11:30am...Thursday and Friday, November 21 and 22 between 6 and 7:30pm...Saturday, November 23 between 9 and 11am...Sunday, November 24 between 2 and 5pm...and Monday, November 25 between 9am and 8pm.
